RAI Process Workshops - 2012
LeadingAge Missouri, in cooperation with several other associations, is co-sponsoring a series of RAI Workshops in 2012.
RAI Process from Start to Finish
This workshop will look at the RAI process from beginning to end. The MDS is used for both a clinical and financial assessment and this workshop will discuss the rules on scheduling these assessments and meeting the requirements individually and combined. Item-by-item coding will be reviewed. From coding the MDS the workshop will then look at the CAA to care plan process. An overview of the Medicare requirements that need to be followed for appropriate reimbursement will be discussed. Finally, the review will cover how to stay up-to-date in this ever-changing world of MDS 3.0.

CMS Update
This advanced RAI session will help participants identify tools that will facilitate improvements in patient/resident outcomes, both clinically and financially. The new QI/QM Reports are to be available in April 2012, and ways to use the reports for quality improvements through a team approach will be discussed. CMS hot topics and common survey issues will also be reviewed as they pertain to the care of residents.

LeadingAge Missouri Now an On-Line Provider for NHA CEUs
LeadingAge Missouri is sponsoring two (2) Missouri Board of Nursing Home Administrators approved programs to receive CEUs on-line.
MMS University or MMSU, a program offered through MMS Medical – A Medical Supply Company, provides training courses for all facility staff with fifteen (15) of the courses specifically targeted for nursing home administrators and approved for CEUs (administrative and PC hours) from the Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
Healthcare Academy provides training courses for all facility staff with two (2) of the courses specifically targeted for nursing home administrators and approved for CEUs (administrative hours) from the Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
